whoops :'D Orange and Rookie got me hooked on the Evoloons group and now I can't stop. And I ended up dragging Merc and Raven along with me...

I still have 2 more Elemental Dancer pics to finish for that series with Kel... ^_^; someday? I feel a little guilty about it, but I'm having a lot of fun with the 'loons group right now. Everyone is super friendly and there's a TON of motivation to get art done - and quickly! These time-sensitive deadlines on the events are killing me XD but in a good way. It's been great practice and it's really nice to have all this inspiration and motivation! I'm a little worried about getting burned out because life is hella complicated right now with the job hunt and my lease ending and my advisor trying to shove me into finishing my degree at an accelerated rate now that I have a set move-out date >.> so adding a sudden influx of art deadlines on top of all that is sort of overwhelming...

I just gotta remember to prioritize ^_^; and if I miss some of the event deadlines, I just can't sweat it.

Anyways, expect my account to get inundated with evoloons stuff for a few more weeks, at least, before the pace slows XD (...more than my already-slow art is?) and I get caught up on things ^_^; I have a dozen pieces of gift art I still want to draw but first there's three pieces of art for the current event, and then the two remaining animated comic pages for Vismuth, and ahhhhhh -thud-

wish me luck, I guess! ^_^;

I saw that ;D

I, on the other hand, need to draw MORE loons ^_^; I bit off a bigger project than I could chew too early on, i think >.> and now I'm wishing I'd been a bit less ambitious

Hi!  Just thought I'd drop in and ask how you are doing.  Are you feeling alright?

hi Lost!

Thank you so much for checking in! :) Things are a bit stressful right now; I'm finishing out a last semester of teaching and I'll be looking for a job in a few weeks, so there's associated panic and anxiety tied up with that. Luckily I have good friends nearby and online, so I'm hanging in there! How about you? how have you been?

Eh, no problem.  I just remembered you saying that a lot of stuff was going on in your life last time we talked.  Oh god, that sounds crazy.  Teaching sounds like such a rewarding career, but also a little nerve-wracking.  Hang in there!  I wish you the best of luck with your last semester and the job hunt after.  Are you planning on teaching anything specifically, or are you more of a generalist right now?
Not too much is happening with me.  Graduated from college about a year ago and am currently looking for a job, but not having too much luck.  It's a little competitive around this area, so I might have to move or consider just working a few hours from home.  Bleh.  :P  Other than that, I'm just perusing DA and contemplating what I should draw next.

I'm done with teaching after this, or at least, that's the plan ^_^; I've been burned and burned out by academia at this point. I just want a nice lab tech (or, ideally, lab manager) job somewhere doing genetics work. CDC would be ideal, but I'll take wherever I can get. I expect I'll be moving pretty far for whatever I find ^_^; which is adding to the stress.

Congrats on graduating! And it sounds like we're in similar boats ^^; any new shows or movies that have caught your interest that could inspire something? Have you seen the new Voltron cartoon, perchance?
